Idk much about other stats, but obviously something is wrong with Satoshi stats. How is he lowest on experience and tactics?? He has over 20 years experience plus you just literally point out some of his battle which include some superb tactics.

It seems like semi final will be 6V6 as we want, of course it was sweeping victory for Dande, as for Satoshi VS Shirona, looks like quite some dissapointment. It seems like Gengar, Dragonite and Pikachu will be the first 3 to be knocked out as seen in preview but spoiler tag just in case. Looks like it will be Mega Lucario VS Mega Gaburias

in the pokemon anime world with 0 logic, ash has less than 1 year experience (?) he is the rookie, so it makes sense ( except for iris, so it doesnt at the same time XD )

I guess my thing is this: if you're going to say that Ash doesn't have tactics, then how about DON'T have him constantly come up with battle-winning tactics on the fly, or constantly have his friends say stuff like "That's Ash's battling style" when he does something creative and unexpected that works.

Because not only does that make it seem like he does have tactics, it makes it seem like he's pretty good with them, too. I mean, the whole point of Pikachu being outclassed by Mega Metagross was that it could predict every move Pikachu made... so Ash then used a Z-Move which couldn't be avoided, so it wouldn't matter if it was predicted. How is that not a brilliant tactic? It's no different from Diantha waiting until after Hyper Beam was used, to hit with a finishing move because anything is stunned after using Hyper Beam, and she's queen of tactics (no disrespect to Cynthia, queen of brute force, you don't have to be tactical when you outspeed or destroy anything before you).

"Tactics" likely refers to strategy, and has been translated as such by other people. If that's the case, Ash having low stats there makes sense. He rarely plans ahead or goes for more thought-out combos. Most of his ideas are things he comes up with on the fly and are risky or unorthodox - hence his high Surprise stat. You got to compare him to Diantha (who used screens and type changing to control her battle), Cynthia (who's referred to as a wealth of knowledge), and Leon (who has mixed up his Charizard's movesets for various opponents.)

As for experience, he has 20 IRL years of experience. All the others in the semi-finals have a good decade of in-universe experience over him.

They probably based it off age if they all started at 10 Years old, but I would give him at least a another tier, since it be easy to ask him the amount of shit he's done. Namely, compete in every single one of their region's League Tournaments, including coming in Second Behind Alain, and winning Alola's which, idc how stupid and unconventional it felt, the fact it was full of Ultra Beast, Legendary Pokemon, Mythic Pokemon, and pure insanity, its one for the record books.

Though, it might feel fabricated nonsense if he starts listing the amount of times he's saved the world XD

You also have to remember that they said in the episode to have been following Ash since the Super-ranks, so they are not using any information before that, had they done that they would have talked about other pokemon to look out for that Ash has. Also they are coming up with the stats in an opinionated way. Context clues matter

That bit about Dragovish at the end really got to me. I mean, think about how Ash got his current Pokemon.

Pikachu has been with him through thick and thin for 25 years.
Gengar was emotionally scarred after his trainer deserted him, and Ash helped him get back up.
Dragonite initially had difficulty evolving, and Ash got him to, to the point where he later joined Ash in his travels.
Lucario was with Ash ever since he was an egg, and the two have a strong aura bond.
Sirfetch'd was really trying its best to battle, and with Ash's help evolved from a scrapper to a knight.
Dragovish was the unholy chimera born of different Pokemon skeletons fused together and yet despite being an abomination of nature it just likes to chomp stuff
